Fred Roos is an Academy Award winning American film producer and casting director. He has produced several films in the course of a career spanning over five decades, notably The Conversation (1974), The Godfather: Part II (1974), Apocalypse Now (1979), The Outsiders (1983), The Secret Garden (1993) and St. Vincent (2014). Significant film credits as a casting director include The Godfather (1972), Cisko Pike (1972) and American Graffiti (1973). Other notable film credits include Lost in Translation (2003), Mary Antoinette (2006) and The Beguiled (2017). In 1974, Roos won the Academy Award for Best Film for producing The Godfather: Part 11.
