Gagan Dev Riar is a Performer, Director, Writer with over 15 years of theatre experience. His performances have received popular as well as critical acclaim in plays like Stories in a Song, Ok Tata Bye Bye and most notably his portrayal of Sir Toby Belch which won him the META award for best supporting actor 2014 for Piya Behroopiya (A Hindi adaptation of Shakespeares Twelfth Night). He was awarded the prestigious Vinod Doshi fellowship Award 2013 for young theatre professionals.

His performances have received popular as well as critical acclaim in Indian plays like Stories in a Song, Detective 9-2-11 and Baaghi Albele. His on-screen appearances include the critically acclaimed web- series Not Fit, a feature film Sonchiriya and web series A Suitable Boy. He made his Off-Broadway NY debut in Mira Nair's Monsoon Wedding Musical in 2023.
