Ganesh Rajagopalan, the music virtuoso with a multi-faceted personality, has a long association with films and film music. He has acted as Ram in the film Brahmarishi Vishwamitra - a film by the legendary actor NTR. He has also acted in the film Oru Veedu Iru Vaasal, directed by another legend S. Balachandar.

Ganesh Rajagopalan, along with his brother Kumaresh Rajagopalan, has scored music for films like Dance like a Man, telefilm Chandrikayin Kadhaithe and the national award-winning film Lessons in Forgetting. He has also composed music for many jingles and advertisements.

He has collaborated with many film music directors like Ilayaraja, A. R. Rahman, Bharadwaj, Keeravani, Harris Jeyaraj, M. Jayachandran, etc. and has added special effects to many songs and background scores.
