The co-founder of the production company Spyglass Entertainment which gave us films like Shanghai Noon (2000), Seabiscuit (2003), The Hitchhiker`s Guide to the Galaxy (2005) and The Tourist (2010), producer Gary Barber`s career spans over three decades. Prior to establishing the now-defunct production house, Barber had been associated with movies like Pacific Heights (1990), Ace Ventura: Pet Detective (1994) and Imaginary Crimes (1994) as an executive producer.
Following the disbandment of Spyglass Entertainment in late 2000, the veteran producer took charge as the chairman and CEO of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer in 2010. Notable production credits since then include the musical dance drama Footloose (2011), the romantic drama The Vow (2012), the military sci-fi action film G.I. Joe: Retaliation (2013), the action-adventure film Tomb Raider (2018) and Glass (2019).
