Gaurav Narayanan is an Indian movie director, who is active mainly in Tamil cinema. He made his debut in the industry as a director, writer and actor in the thriller drama Thoonga Nagaram. His next directorial venture was the action thriller Sigaram Thodu, about the son of a cop who wishes to work at a bank but situations force him to become a police officer. Starring Vikram Prabhu in the lead role, the movie performed well at the box office and was critically acclaimed. Not only this, Sigaram Thodu is the first South Indian movie to be nominated for screening and selected for the best film competition in Seattle International Film Festival. His 2017 directorial venture includes the action comedy Ippadai Vellum starring Udhayanidhi Stalin and Manjima Mohan in the lead roles. He is also the writer of the film.
