Gauravv K. Chawla began his career as an assistant director in 2003 with the movie Kuch Naa Kaho. He then went on to work on movies such as Bluffmaster! (2005), Jhoom Barabar Jhoom (2007), Patiala House (2011), and Dum Maaro Dum (2011). In 2016, he wrote and directed the TV show P.O.W. Bandhi Yuddh Ke. The following year, he made his feature directorial debut with the movie Baazaar (2018) starring Saif Ali Khan, Radhika Apte, Chitrangda Singh, Rohan Vinod Mehra, and Atul Kulkarni.
