Daughter of noted dancer Raguram, Gayathri is an Indian actress-turned-choreographer, who first debuted as an actor in 2002 with the Tamil movie Charlie Chaplin. The same year, she made Kannada and Malayalam debuts with the movies Manasella Neene and Nakshathrakkannulla Rajakumaran Avanundoru Rajakumari respectively. The next year, in 2003, she made her Telugu debut with the movie Maa Bapu Bommaku Pellanta. She went on to appear in a string of movies like Parasuram, Whistle, and Vikadan before turning choreographer in 2008 with the movies Jayam Kondaan and Poi Solla Porom. Since then, she has been associated as a choreographer with various big budget movies such as Kanthaswamy, Aadhavan, Ko, Vaanam, Thalaivaa, Vai Raja Vai and Vanamagan.
