Always having a keen interest in camera angles and lighting, the obvious career choice for George William was to take up cinematography. In order to understand the technique better, he pursued a degree in Visual Communication from Madras Christian College. Following his degree, he went on to assist cinematographer Nirav Shah on the movies Billa and Sarvam. He, subsequently, also assisted another cinematographer, Arjun Jena, on Ala Modalaindi. After having assisted for a brief period, he went on to made his debut as the main cinematographer with AR Murugadoss` Raja Rani in 2013. His other projects include Kaththi, Naanum Rowdydhaan, Theri, Irumbuthirai and Hero.
