George Joseph Amy (Amy) (deceased) a. k. a. George Amy was born on 15th October 1903, Brooklyn, New York. He started his career at the age of 17 as an American film editor. He found his niche at Warner Brothers in 1930. He had won an Academy Award for Film Editing for the movie, “Hawk’s Air Force. He was also nominated for Oscar award. Although Amy directed several short films and few feature films on his own for Warners but those were not successful. In 1950’s, he turned into editing and directing for television.
