Starting his acting career with a low budget film Night of The Bloody Horror (1969), Gerald McRaney is an American television and film actor. He appeared in films like Women And Bloody Terror (1970), The Brain Machine (1977), The Never Ending Story (1984) and Jackals (1986). But McRaney is perhaps best known for his character as Rick Simon in the television show Simon & Simon (1981-1989). He has had major roles in popular shows like Major Dad (1989-1993) and Promised Land (1996-1999). He starred in movies like Hansel and Gretel (2002), Saving Shiloh (2006) and the drama Get Low (2009). His villainous role of General Morrison in The A Team (2010) garnered immense appreciation for McRaney.

In this decade McRaney has acted in movies like Red Tails (2012), Heart Of The Country (2013), The Best Of Me (2014), Focus (2015) and The Disappointments Room (2016).
