Giancarlo Giannini is an Italian actor, voice actor, film director and screenwriter. He won a Cannes Film Festival Award for Best Actor for his performance in Love and Anarchy (1973) and received an Academy Award for Best Actor nomination for his performance in Seven Beauties (1975). He is also known for playing French MI6 agent Rene Mathis in the James Bond films Casino Royale (2006) and Quantum of Solace (2008). Giannini is known as the official Italian dubber of Al Pacino. His other projects include Tulipani, Love, Honour and a Bicycle (2017) and The Catcher Was a Spy (2018).
