About
Well-known for penning woman-centric, riveting thrillers, American writer Gillian Flynn has given us novels like Sharp Objects, Dark Places and Gone Girl; all of which have since been adapted for television or film. While Sharp Objects was adapted into a critically acclaimed tv miniseries in 2018, Flynn's best-selling thriller novel Gone Girl received an equally compelling movie adaptation in 2014, which was directed by David Finch and had a screenplay written by the novelist herself. The film, starring Rosamund Pike and Ben Affleck, opened to near-universal critical acclaim and grossed around $370 million at the box office.

In 2018, Flynn co-wrote the screenplay for the heist film Widows, which was directed by Steve McQueen and featured an ensemble cast that included Viola Davis, Liam Neeson, Elizabeth Debicki, Carrie Coon, Colin Farrell and Robert Duvall.
