Girish A. D. is an Indian film director, screenwriter, actor, and producer who predominantly works in Malayalam cinema. Born in Chalakudy, Thrissur district, Kerala, to Dineshan and Geetha, he attended St. Sebastian's HSS, Kuttikkad, before earning a Bachelor of Technology from MET's School of Engineering, Mala, Thrissur. He is married to Chippy Viswan since June 2019.

After graduating, he began making short films, with Vishuddha Ambrose winning the Best Director Award at the Adoor Short Film Festival in 2017. He debuted as a screenwriter in the Malayalam film industry in 2018 with Allu Ramendran, before directing his first feature, Thanneermathan Dinangal (2019), which became a major hit and established him as a filmmaker. He followed this with Super Sharanya (2022), a coming-of-age romantic comedy he also wrote and co-produced, and I Am Kathalan (2024). His biggest success came with Premalu (2024), one of the highest-grossing Malayalam films, and he has since written Premalu 2. His 2026 release includes Bethlehem Kudumba Unit.
