Gnana Rajasekaran is an Indian filmmaker, screenwriter, playwright and Retired IAS Officer. He made his debut as director in the year 1994 with the movie Mogamul and won the Indira Gandhi Award for Best First Film of a Director. In the film industry he is noted for his work in the movies namely Bharathi (2000) and many other including Periyar, released in the year 2007. He has also won three National Film Awards, three Tamil Nadu State Film Awards.
