Filmmaker Gowtam Tinnanuri is best familiar to the audience for his debut directorial Malli Raava (2017), a Telugu romantic drama which starred Sumanth and Aakanksha Singh in the lead roles. The film, which followed the story of a couple who meet each other, fall in love and eventually part ways in three different phases of their lives, was a critical and commercial success. In 2019, Gowtam made his sophomore outing as a director with the Nani starrer Jersey (2019). His other releases include Saamraajya and Kingdom.
