Filmmaker, screenwriter and Emmy Award-nominated producer Greg Berlanti is primarily known for penning movies like Green Lantern (2011) and Wrath of the Titans (2012), while his directorial credits include The Broken Hearts Club: A Romantic Comedy (2000) and the romantic comedy-drama Life as We Know It (2010). Besides these, Berlanti has also worked extensively on television as a writer and executive producer, with Dawson`s Creek (1998-2003), Political Animals (2012), Arrow (2012-) and The Flash (2014-) being his most significant works. His work in the comedy-drama mini-series Political Animals earned Berlanti nominations at the Directors Guild of America Awards, Writers Guild of America Awards and Primetime Emmy Awards.
In 2018, Berlanti helmed the romantic comedy-drama Love, Simon, which became the first major Hollywood studio production to feature gay teenage romance as the central plot and opened to positive reviews.
