Entering the film industry in 1992 as a co-producer with the romantic comedy, Only You, Gregg Hoffman was an American film producer. He is perhaps best remembered for producing the 2004 mystery-horror movie, Saw, which has now spanned seven sequels. The movie was produced by Twisted Pictures, an American independent production company founded in 2004 by Mark Burg, Oren Koules and Gregg Hoffman. Since he made his debut, Hoffman went on to produce movies like George of the Jungle 2 (2003) and Saw II (2005). In 2005 when he was producing the third movie in the Saw series, Hoffman passed away of natural causes. His partners at Twisted Pictures decided to posthumously credit Hoffman with producing the Saw films from 2007 through 2017.

In 2017 director-duo Michael and Peter Spierig-s directed the eighth movie in the Saw series- Jigsaw. The horror-mystery was produced by Twisted Pictures and Hoffman was once again credited posthumously. The cast includes Tobin Bell, Brittany Allen, Callum Keith Rennie, Laura Vandervoort, Hannah Emily Anderson in important roles.
