After winning the Miss Chandigarh title at the age of 17, Gurleen Chopra decided to pursue a career in modeling. Later, when she expressed her desire to become an actor, her parents opposed her decision. However, after they found out that Lawrence D`Souza was going to direct Gurleen`s debut movie, they supported her decision. Gurleen then made her debut in 2003 with the movie Indian Babu and in the same year, she also made her Telugu debut with the movie Aayudham. The actor has since then appeared in movies across languages including Punjabi, Kannada, Tamil, and Marathi. Some of her popular films include Manmatha (2007), Manmatha (2012), Kirpaan: The Sword of Honour (2014), and Aa Gaye Munde U.K. De (2014). Her 2017 releases include the movies Ashley and Game Over. Her 2019 release includes Jai Chhathi Maa.
