Guru Thakur is a Marathi poet, scriptwriter, lyricist and actor. As a lyricist, he has worked in several movies like Golmaal, Natrang, Teecha Baap Tyacha Baap, Timepass, and Natsamrat, to name a few. He was the screenplay and dialogue writer for several movies such as Aga Bai Arrecha, Natarang and Ticha baap Tyacha baap. He is an actor too, who starred in the movies Natarang (2010) and Ganvesh (2016). He has also featured in television series like Sanjbhool, Reshimgathi and Tujhyavina. His 2017 venture as a lyricist includes the Marathi feature film Karaar, under the direction of Manoj Kotian. His other releases include Aamhi Doghi (2018), Ranangan (2018) Redu (2018), Bittersweet (2020) and Preetam (2021).
