Award winning Hungarian cinematographer and filmmaker Gyula Pados started out as an assistant to the Oscar winning cameraman Vilmos Zsigmond, and subsequently made his debut as an independent cinematographer with the black-comedy Hotel Splendide (2000). Since then, he has helmed the camera for films like Fateless (2005), The Duchess (2008) and Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials (2015).

Pados is a two-time winner of the Golden Swan Award at the Copenhagen International Film Festival, having won the honour for his work in Kontroll (2003) and Fateless (2005). Other significant movie credits include Predators (2010), Million Dollar Arm (2014), the action adventure comedy film Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (2017) and the dystopian sci-fi action thriller Maze Runner: The Death Cure (2018).
