H. Vinoth is a movie director and writer in the Tamil film industry who shot to fame with his very first movie Sathuranga Vettai (2014), which received great responses from audiences. Revolving around the high-profile scams performed by a con man and the consequences he faces, Sathuranga Vettai won several accolades such as the Vikatan Award for Best Film and Second Best Feature Film at Chennai International Film Festival. A sequel to this was made in 2017, titled Sathuranga Vettai 2, under the direction of NV Nirmal Kumar, which Vinoth was part of as a writer. His 2017 directorial venture includes the action thriller Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru, starring Karthi and Rakul Preet Singh in the lead roles. Based on true events, the movie is also written by Vinoth, with Karthi in the role of a cop and Abhimanyu Singh as the antagonist. His 2018 release includes Bluff Master, Nerkonda Paarvai, Valimai, Thunivu and Jana Nayagan.
