Hal Pereira, born on April 29th, 1905 in Chicago, United States, was an American art director, production designer and architect. Pereira started out creating background art for theatrical productions in his native Chicago. He won an Oscar for his work in The Rose Tattoo (1958), and was nominated on 22 other occasions. He died on December 17th, 1983 in Los Angeles, United States.
