Govindaraju Gangaraju, better known as Hamsalekha, is a National Film Award winning Indian musician, composer and lyricist. In the course of a career spanning over three decades, he has scored the music and penned the lyrics for over 300 films, and has won the Karnataka State Film Award for Best Music Direction four times and Best Lyrics three times. Significant among his discography as a composer are Om (1995), Ganayogi Panchakshari Gavayi (1995), Sparsha (2000), Nenapirali (2005), Raja Huli (2013) and Mahaveera Maachideva. Hamsalekha is also a six-time winner of Filmfare Awards (South). Notable film credits as a lyricist include Tutta Mutta? (2000), Sri Manjunatha (2001) and Thayi Illada Tavaru (1996). His 2018 venture includes the Telugu movie Chilkur Balaji directed by Allani Sridhar starring Saikumar Pudipeddi and Bhani Sri Mehra in prominent roles. His release includes Kuchiku Kuchiku, Preethi Keli Sneha Kaledukollabedi and Bicchugatthi.
