Early Life Harbhajan Mann is an Indian actor, singer and film producer. In a career spanning over 25 years, Mann has been a part of more than a dozen films and music albums. He began singing as an amateur in 1980 and performed in local shows while attending high school in Canada. His beginning as a professional artist can be traced back to 1992, when his song Chithiye Nee Chithiye was released and became a regional success. Maan realized that the market for Punjabi music in Canada was small and he returned to Punjab to record his albums.
Career Highlights He had a breakthrough in 1999, when exposure provided by India MTV and T-Series assisted his album, Oye Hoye, to become a success. His Punjabi-pop style soon attracted audiences from all over India and he also undertook playback singing. The playback work led to acting roles and Mann has become a prominent figure in the revitalisation of Punjabi cinema. His best works include Jatt UK (1991), Ho Jaana (2002), Nerre Nerre (2006), Heer Ranjha (2009), Yaara O Dildara (2011), Gaddar - The Traitor(2015) and Saadey CM Saab (2016).
