Hemant Pandey hails from Uttarakhand and he began his journey in theater at the age of 13. He served as the President of the Hansraj dramatics society at Delhi University and participated in workshops conducted by the National School of Drama. In Mumbai, he established Adamya Rangmanch and directed `Lassanwala`, which earned acclaim at META 2017 and the Thespo Theatre Festival. He also directed Gagan Damama Bajyo with Mr. Piyush Mishra.

He then debuted in movies with Pushtaini (2024) which was screened at MAMI film festival before making it to the theatres.
