A graduate of London Academy of Music and Dramatic art, Hera Hilmar is an Icelandic actress who is best known for her role as Vanessa in the TV series Da Vinci's Demons. She was nominated for an Edda Award (an award conferred by The Icelandic Film and Television Academy) for her outstanding performance in The Quiet Storm (2007). Some of her notable works are Svartir Englar (2008), The Cliff (2010), Leaving (2012), Life in a Fishbowl (2014), and An Ordinary Man (2017). Her 2018 projects include The Ashram and Mortal Engines.
