Herbie Hancock is a pianist and songwriter, born on April 12, 1940 in Chicago, Illinois, United States. He started his music with the album, Takin' Off, and his major career boost came with 1980s hit mix fest Rock it. He composed a number of albums in various genres of TV and film projects. Herbie's album credits, include Mwandishi and Head Hunters. He was also honored with an Academy Award and many Grammy Awards. His 2017 release includes Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets.
