Horton Foote was an American playwright and screenwriter, born on March 14, 1916 in Wharton, Texas, USA. He is best known for his screenplays written for To Kill a Mockingbird (1962), The Trip to Bountiful (1985), Of Mice and Men (1992) & The Trip to Bountiful (2014). In his career as a cinematograpger, he won the Academy Award, Primetime Emmy Award, Christopher Award, WRIFF Award & WGA Award. He died on March 4, 2009 in Hartford, Connecticut, USA.
