An alumnus of the Beijing Film Academy, actor, singer and model Huang Xiaoming is well-known for his work in Chinese cinema and television. He first rose to prominence courtesy of his portrayal of Emperor Wu of Han in the series The Prince of Han Dynasty (2001), and has since appeared in over 30 feature films and several TV shows. Notable among Xiaoming`s acting credits in Chinese cinema are the espionage thriller The Message (2009), the historical drama Sacrifice (2010), the period drama The Last Tycoon (2012) and the drama American Dreams in China (2013), the last of which won him several accolades including a Golden Phoenix Award for Best Actor in 2015.

The international audience is best familiar with Xiaoming`s work in movies like Ip Man 2 (2010), Hollywood Adventures (2015), the action thriller Escape Plan 2: Hades (2018) and The Bravest (2019).
