Ioan Gruffudd is a Welsh actor. He studied in the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts from 1992 to 1995. E started acting at the age of 13 in the Welsh soap opera Pobol y Cwm (1973). He came to attention after playing Oscar Wildes lover John Gray in Wilde (1997) and Fifth Officer Harold Lowe in Titanic (1997). Other film roles include Lancelot in King Arthur (2004), Mister Fantastic (Reed Richards) inFantastic Four (2005) and the sequel Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (2007), and British anti-slavery abolitionist William Wilberforce in Amazing Grace (2006). He played Tony Blair in W. (2008). Gruffudd is now set to appear in Playing it cool (2015), San Andreas (2015) and Home Invasion (2015). His other notable works include Keep Watching (2017), Buttons (2018), The Professor and the Madman (2019), Ava (2020) and Bad Boys: Ride or Die (2024).
