Irwin Winkler is an American film producer and director. His production debut came with the musical film Double Trouble (1967) starring Elvis Presley. Having won his first-ever Oscar nomination for the drama movie, They Shoot Horses, Don`t They? (1969), Winkler won the Oscar for Best Picture for Rocky (1976). He also received an Academy Award nomination for Raging Bull (1981), The Right Stuff (1984) and Martin Scorsese`s cult classic Goodfellas (1990). His other projects include The Wolf of Wall Street (2013), Creed (2015) and The Irishman (2019).
