John Newton Green, ASC (born November 18, 1946), is an American cinematographer and film director best known for his Oscar-nominated collaborations with actor-director Clint Eastwood, taking over from Eastwood`s previous collaborator Bruce Surtees. He is also known for his work on Bird (1988), Pretty in Pink (1986), The Karate Kid Part III (1989), Unforgiven (1992), The Bridges of Madison County (1995), Serenity (2005), Click (2006) and At Middleton (2013). Green has won many awards including Lifetime Achievement Award (2009) and President`s Award (1998). His 2014 release includes Nicolas Cage starrer apocalyptic film Left Behind.
