Screenwriter Jacob Aaron Estes made his writing and directorial debut with the 2001 short film Summoning. However, his full-length feature film debut came with the 2004 crime-drama Mean Creek, which he, both, wrote for and directed. His other projects include Nearing Grace and Rings.
