Jagdeep was an Indian film actor and comedian best remembered for his portrayal of Soorma Bhopali in the 1975 action drama Sholay. Having appeared in over 400 movies in his six-decade-long career, Jagdeep was best known for his comedic roles such as Agent Vinod (1977) and Machchar in Purana Mandir (1984) and Bankelal Bhopali in Andaz Apna Apna (1994). The veteran comedian passed away in July 2020.
