Most popularly known by his screen name Navarasanayaka, which means the master of nine emotions, Jaggesh is a versatile artist; he is an actor, director, and producer who is best known for his work in Kannada cinema. Having made his acting debut in an uncredited role with Ibbani Karagithu in 1982, his maiden feature film was Shwetha Gulabi (1985). His other notable film credits include Poli Huduga (1989), Rani Maharani (1990), Tharle Nan Maga (1992), Bal Nan Maga (1995), Yaare Neenu Cheluve (1998), Mata (2006), which won him his maiden Karnataka State Film Award for Best Supporting Actor, however, he refused to accept the award. His 2017 release includes Mugulu Nage, a Kannada romantic comedy film directed by Yogaraj Bhat. His other releases includes 8MM Bullet, Premier Padmini and Kalidasa Kannada Meshtru.
