Jahanara Bhargava grew up in advertising and theatre. Rehearsals and backstage in a theatre were home. At fifteen, she was assisting her father, legendary ad man Bugs Bhargava Krishna, on ad films. After design school, she worked as a copywriter at Ogilvy Mumbai before moving on to become an assistant director to Amole Gupte in feature films. Jahanara co-founded Ten Years Younger Productions with Seema Mohapatra, and together, they`ve produced acclaimed projects like Barot House, Posham Pa, Nail Polish for Zee5, and Dil Dosti Dilemma for Amazon Prime Video.
They have also co-produced the independently funded Pune Highway. Currently, they are working on the post-production of their experimental film Pigeon. Jahanara, an avid book lover, is on the verge of starting up a publishing venture with Seema. She has just edited Murder in the Time of Jazz, a crime novel written by Bugs.
