Jai Jagadish is an Indian actor, director, and producer who works in the Kannada film industry. Beginning his career in 1976 with the movie Phalithamsha, the actor has appeared in over 300 films. Some of his movie credits include Gaali Mathu (1981), Bandhana (1984), Samara (1995), and Moggina Manasu (2009). . His film Kothigalu Saar Kothigalu won the Filmfare Award for Best film. He made his directorial debut in 2006 with the movie Madana starring Aditya and Samiksha.

Jai turned producer in 2009 with the movie Bhoomi Thayiya Chocchchala Maga and has also produced the Filmfare Award winning movie Kothigalu Saar Kothigalu. In 2017, he appeared in the movie Raaga directed by P.C. Shekhar as well as the action film Dhairyam. Directed by Tejas K. M, the movie along with Aditi stars Ajay Rao, Sadhu Kokila and Srinivas Prabhu in the lead. In the same year he starred in director Chetan Kumar`s Bharjari. The movie has Dhruva Sarja, Rachita Ram and Hariprriya in the lead. His more recent releases include Viraaj (2018), Missing Boy (2019) and Munduvareda Adhyaya (2021).
