An Indian theater and film actor, Jai Upadhyay started his career as a theater artist and has plenty of experience, especially in the Gujarati theater industry. He has starred in several Gujarati-language theater productions including Kanji Viriddh Kanji, Mummy Tu Avi Kevi, Jal Jal Mare Patang and Master Builder. Apart from working in the theater industry, Jai has also worked extensively in the Hindi TV industry and some of his notable credits on the small screen includes Tarak Metha Ka Ulta Chashma and CID. After a successful stint in theater, Jai made his debut on the silver screen with the Gujarati film Kevi Rite Jaish (2012). He subsequently starred in films like Project Marathwada (2016), Shor Se Shuruaat (2016), and Tu Hai Mera Sunday (2017), a comedy-drama directed by Milind Dhaimade.
