James Clavell, born on October 10, 1921 in Sydney, was a screenwriter, producer and director. He has started his script writing career with the film The Fly in the year 1958. He’s popularly known for his work on Asian Saga series. His other script credits, include The Great Escape, To Sir, with Love and The Last Valley. He won a Primetime Emmy award of Outstanding Limited Series for the film, Shogun. He died at age of 72, on September 7, 1994.
