James Garner was an American actor, singer, producer, and comedian best known for her role in the TV show The Rockford Files. After his service for the U.S. Army, he entered into an acting career. His notable films include The Great Escape (1963), Grand Prix (1966) and the Oscar-winning Victor Victoria (1982). He also received a Golden Globe Award for Decoration Day (1990). He made his impression in another decade with movies like Space Cowboys (2000), Atlantis: The Lost Empire (2001) and The Notebook (2004). Garner passed away on July 19, 2014, at the age of 86.
