James Gay-Rees is a British film producer and writer. Although he made his debut as producer with the movie, The Real Howard Spitz (1998), Gay-Rees is mostly known for producing documentaries. Over the years he has produced documentaries like Exit Through the Gift Shop (2010), McCullin (2012), All This Mayhem (2014), Palio (2015), Amy (2015), Ronaldo (2015) and Weiner (2016). Senna (2010), based on the Brazilian Formula One racer Ayrton Senna da Silva and Amy (2015), based on the life of the famous singer Amy Winehouse, have won Gay-Rees several awards and nominations at various film festivals.
