James Stewart was an American actor and Academy Award winner, who began his acting career with stage roles and made his film debut in The Murder Man (1935). James was popularly known as the third Greatest Male Star of All Time by the American Film Institute. His various film appearances include Mr. Smith Goes to Washington (1939), The Philadelphia Story (1940), The Glenn Miller Story (1953), Rear Window (1954), Vertigo (1958), Bell, Book and Candle (1958), Airport `77 (1977) and The Magic of Lassie (1978). He was honored with Academy Award for Lifetime Achievement in 1985 and passed away at the age of 89.
