Janet Maureen Varney, born in Arizona, U.S.A, is an American film actress, best known for hosting the cooking and entertainment show, Dinner and a Movie and for voicing the character of Korra in the video game, The Legend of Korra. She majored in theater at the San Francisco State University. Prior to acting, Janet pursued a career in interior designing. She has also written and performed comedic audio commentaries for blockbusters like Dirty Dancing, Footloose, Ghost and Poltergeist among others. She starred in various television shows including Die Hardly Working (2007), Entourage, (2008), How I Met Your Mother (2007), Psych (2008), Bones (2009) and Hot In Cleveland (2011). Some of the films Janet is critically acclaimed are Stuck (2003), Catwoman (2004), Dante`s Inferno (2007), Judy Moody and the Not Bummer (2011) and The Selling (2011). She has lent her voice for the film, Norm Of The North, which released in January 2016.
