Jasbir Singh Bains, was born in Gurdaspur, Punjab and is a first generation musician whose voice echoes in the hearts of many Punjabi and Pop music lovers. He has trained as a Hindustani classical artist under the guidance of VS Jolly and Puran Shah Koti, and has been deeply influenced and inspired by Ustad Shaukat Ali Khan. Jasbir Jassi began his musical career with the song Channa Ve Teri Channani in 1993 and went on to record many more like Dil Lae Gayi Kudi Gujarat Di, which is one of his most popular songs. He is a versatile musician who lives and embodies the philosophy of music and its power to create and share love. With immense knowledge of Punjabi folk music ,Jasbir Jassi has also recorded Waris Shahs Heer in his moving and entrancing voice.

Jasbir Jassi has released 14 albums so far, and continues his passionate journey with music to explore Punjabi folk and Sufi music and is working on some more tunes for his listeners.
