Jasleen Kaur Royal aka Jasleen Royal is an Indian singer-songwriter and a music composer. She was born on 8 July 1991 in Ludhiana, Punjab, India. Jasleen has completed her schooling at Sacred Heart Convent School, Ludhiana. She completed her B.com Honours from HinduCollege, New Delhi. Jasleen came into the limelight when she qualified as one of the semi-finalists in the first season of Indias Got Talent in 2009. Because of her skill to play multiple instruments at the same time. Her Bollywood debut movie as a singer is Khoobsurat a song titled Preet. She won an award for the Best Indie Song at the MTV Video Music Awards India 2013. She got this award for her debut song Panchi Ho Jaava, composed and sung by Jasleen which is based on a poem by late Shiv Kumar Batalvi.
