Jason Isaacs is an English actor and producer, best known for his character in Harry Potter. He was trained at London`s Central School of Speech and Drama and began his career with television, appearing in series such as Capital City (1989) and Civvies (1992). He made his film debut in Mel Smith`s The Tall Guy (1989) and later appeared in the Hollywood film Event Horizon (1997). Later, Jason also appeared in popular films such as Armageddon (1998), Divorcing Jack (1998) and The End of The Affair (1999). He played the vile and sadistic Colonel William Tavington, in the historical fiction film The Patriot (2000), winning critical appreciation for his performance. His most notable movies include Sweet November (2001), Black Hawk Down (2001) and Peter Pan (2003). His most memorable role came in the Harry Potter film series, as the aristocratic death eater Lucius Malfoy. Some of Jason`s distinguished performances on television are The State Within (2006), Brotherhood (2006) and Awake (2012). He will soon be appearing in the film Fury, which is set to release in October 2014. His other releases include Hotel Mumbai and Superman: Red Son (2020) and Scoob (2020).
