Jay Presson Allen was an American screenwriter, playwright, television producer and also novelist. Her famous written works are, “Tru, Forty Carats, The Big Love, and The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie". She produced films namely Deathtrap and It’s my Turn. He won Gotham Independent Film Tribute Award as best writer in the year 1992. She also won two awards namely David di Donatello for Best Foreign Screenplay for Just Tell Me What You Want in 1980 and Writers Guild of America Award for Best Adapted Comedy for Cabaret in the year 1973.
