Indian director Jayant Gilatar is well-known for his contribution to the film industry. Beginning his career as an assistant director, he made a name for himself in the industry in a short span of time. The founder of JJ Creations, Gilatar has been a part of cinemas across varying genres and languages for 2 decades and has worked with big league actors like Mithun Chakraborty.
He started off his television career with Akbar-Birbal, starring Vikram Gokhale and Anang Desai, which was declared a huge hit after which he went on to direct a whopping 4000 television episodes. He has also served as director to popular films like Himmatwala (1998), Meri Pyaari Bahania Banegi Dulhania (2001), The White Land (2005), and Chalk N Duster (2016). The director ventured into producing with Sadarakshanaay (2011), which won 18 nominations in various categories in a plethora of award shows. As of 2018, he is associated with Natsamrat.
