Jean Cocteau, also known as Jean Maurice Eugene Clement Coct, was a French writer, designer, playwright, artist and filmmaker. He is best known for his novel Les Enfants Terribles and the film Blood of a Poet (1930), in which he served as a writer, director and actor. His other notable films include Les Parents Terribles (1948), Beauty and the Beast (1946) and Orpheus (1950). The Spanish movie The Human Voice (2021) is an adaptation of Cocteau`s monodrama.
