A French TV and film actor, director and comedian, Jean Dujardin is best remembered for his appearance in the cult French comedy TV series Un gars, une fille (1999 - 2003). Having started his career as a stand-up comedian in Paris, he eventually started acting in comedic roles in TV programs and films. The first French actor to win an Academy Award, Dujardin gained international prominence and recognition for his roles in the silent French movie, The Artist (2011). His brilliant performance in the movie won him many awards including the Golden Globe for Best Actor, the BAFTA Award, and the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance.

Dujardin who made his debut on the silver screen with the French film If I Were a Rich Man (2002), over the years, in his illustrious career has starred in more than 20 films. Some of his most popular films include Cash Truck (2004), OSS 117: Cairo, Nest of Spies (2006), Lucky Luke (2009), The Wolf of Wall Street (2013), The Connection (2014), Up for Love (2016) and Sahara (2017), a French-Canadian computer-animated adventure film directed by Pierre Core.
